Introduction

The CUE Central Registry is a one-stop shop for CUE schema. Gone are the days of searching around to find the schema you need to validate your configuration or data. And with dependency management natively built in to cue (and for that matter any third-party tooling that is CUE-aware), managing schemas, validation and configuration has never been easier.

The best way to get started with the Central Registry is to try out one of our curated schemas to validate your existing configuration, getting you started on your journey with CUE!

Getting Started: Schema Library

While the Central Registry is in beta we require authentication. Once we lift this restriction, rate-limited unauthenticated access will be possible.

This will ensure that open-source tools that are CUE-enabled can access the Central Registry without a login step, but still allow those same tools a seamless approach to supporting their users with authenticated access with the Central Registry, or indeed any OCI server. For more information, please get in touch.

While the Central Registry is in beta, all access to the Central Registry is free of charge. We will announce pricing plans towards the end of the beta phase.

CUE was born in the open source ecosystem, and continuing to support open source projects is a key part of CUE Labs' mission. Unauthenticated access to the Central Registry (see question 1) will continue when the Central Registry becomes GA. For more information, please get in touch.

Absolutely! Much like other dependency management ecosystems, the strength of an ecosystem lies in having a vibrant community of people publishing schemas as well as consuming them. To get started see this guide.
