Replay: A World Without Configuration Chaos
We had an incredible turnout for our recent launch event, A World Without Configuration Chaos, featuring a deep-dive discussion with our advisor, Kelsey Hightower.
We explored the “configuration chaos” spiral that undermines reliability and introduced our vision for the Configuration Control Plane, the “missing piece” that turns CUE into a complete system, provides true cross-domain validation, and finally transforms configuration from a source of fear into a source of reliability.
If you missed the event live, you can catch the full replay right here:
What the Community (and Kelsey!) Had to Say
The live chat during the event was buzzing with incredible feedback and validation from engineers already tackling configuration challenges. Here are just a few highlights:
“With CUE, configuration is no longer a means to an end, but continually refactoring abstractions is a breeze and a joy. It’s when I caught myself smiling ear to ear one evening while writing CUE application abstractions, I realized just how awesome CUE was. Native LSP or CRD support really was the final step before adoption for us.” — Kai (Live Event Attendee)
“I’ve been building this configuration control plane with Argo Workflows and I just can’t wait to buy it off the shelf.” — David (Live Event Attendee)
“David, the same – we’ve been doing this in GitHub Actions.” — Richard (Live Event Attendee)
“This really feels like the year before Kubernetes was announced to the world… I think we’re now at that moment where we don’t have all the answers, but we know there is a better architecture for building out given the momentum that we’re seeing on the configuration side.” — Kelsey Hightower
We’re incredibly excited by the energy and engagement, and this conversation is just the beginning. Stay tuned for more deep dives, and join us in building a world without configuration chaos!
